FAQ's, Froggy Facts, Pond Policies, & Information  SIZING INFORMATION All Sizes Listed Are Pattern Sizes, NOT Manufactured Clothing Sizes! Because pattern sizes and actually standard American sizes vary greatly, I have added some measurements that should help you pick out the perfect size for your child. MAX waist measurement does NOT mean the bottom will fit that large, it is just the absolute maximum the elastic can be stretched to. The hip measurement isn't as large as the waist, but with kids, the waist is generally of more concern. Underarm To Underarm this is generally the narrowest part of the garment. (The style of most handmade girls clothes usually leaves plenty of waist room. If not, I will measure waist and put that measurement in the description.) It is an outside measurement taken from side seam to side seam. It does NOT take into account any elastic in neck or back or any stretch that accommodates multiple sizes. It is taken from a flat garment so this isn't a true fit measurement, but gives you an idea. Neck to Hem/Bottom is a measurement from the lowest point or center of neck down to hem of top or bottom of skirt. A flat measure, not a true fit. Most girls dresses tend to be shorter than ours, but I have done my best to add a little length to most. Inseam is from the crotch seam to the hem of the bottom of the finished flat garment. Back or Overall Length if a top it is measured, it is from the back top of garment to the hem of top. If a dress is measured it is from the top of the back of dress to the bottom hem of the finished flat garment. Skirt Length is the length from the TRUE waist of garment to bottom hem. So for a no waist style outfit, it is measured from the rough waist of a child of that age, not the bottom of the bodice, but the true waist. For a skirt, it is the overall length. Returns are generally not accepted unless an item was misrepresented blatantly or the garment falls apart due to poor construction.
